چکیده

We review our current understanding of the critical dynamics of magnets above and below the transition temperature with focus on the effects due to the dipole-dipole interaction present in all real magnets. Significant progress in our understanding of real ferromagnets in the vicinity of the critical point has been made in the last decade through improved experimental techniques and theoretical advances in taking into account realistic spin-spin interactions. We start our review with a discussion o f the theoretical results for the critical dynamics based on recent renormalization group, mode coupling and spin-wave theories. A detailed comparison is made ot~ the theory with experimental results obtained by different measuring techniques, such as neutron scattering, hyperfine interaction, muon spin resonance, electron spin resonance, and magnetic relaxation, in various materials. Furthermore we discuss the effects of dipolar interaction on the critical dynamics of three-dimensional isotropic antiferromagnets and uniaxial ferromagnets. Special attention is also paid to a discussion of the consequences of dipolar anisotropies on the existence of magnetic order and the spin-wave spectrum in two-dimensional ferromagnets and antiferromagnets. We close our review with a formulation of critical dynamics in terms of nonlinear Langevin equations.

Critical slowing down in random anisotropy magnets

We study the purely relaxational critical dynamics with non-conserved order parameter (model A critical dynamics) for three-dimensional magnets with disorder in a form of the random anisotropy axis. For the random axis anisotropic distribution, the static asymptotic critical behaviour coincides with that of random site Ising systems. Therefore the asymptotic critical dynamics is governed by the...

APPLICATIONS OF PARTIAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS IN STABILITY INDEX AND CRITICAL LENGTH IN AVALANCHE DYNAMICS

In this study, Stability analysis of snow slab which is under detonation has developed in the present model. The model has been studied by using the basic concepts of non-detonation model and concepts of underwater explosions with appropriate modifications to the present studies. The studies have also been extended to account the effect of critical length variations at the time of detonation an...

Introducing critical residues in the human prion protein and its Asp 178 Asn mutant by molecular dynamics simulation

The molecular dynamics (MD) simulation method is used to assess structural details for humanprion protein (hereafter PrPN) and its Asp178 Asn mutant (hereafter PrPm) which causes fatalfamilial insomnia disease. The results reveal that the flexibility and instability increase in PrPmcould be related to specific amino acids exposed to the solvent. Solvation free energy of PrPm is 20kjmot1nni2 mor...

Short-time dynamics of a family of XY noncollinear magnets.

Critical scaling and universality in the short-time dynamics for antiferromagnetic models on a three-dimensional stacked triangular lattice are investigated using Monte Carlo simulation. We have determined the critical point by searching for the best power law for the order parameter as a function of time and measured the critical exponents. Our results indicate that it is possible to distingui...

Relaxation to equilibrium for two

We consider Glauber{type dynamics for two dimensional disordered magnets of Ising type. We prove that, if in equilibrium the disorder{averaged innuence of the boundary condition is suuciently small, then the corresponding Glauber dynamics is ergodic with probability one and the disorder{averaged of time{autocorrelations decays like e ?m(log t) 2. For the standard dilute Ising ferromagnet with i...
